General Information

Adobe Creative Cloud licenses have a not to exceed price of $190. The contract is a set price and we are dividing it across the number of licenses we are deploying so the more people that sign up, the cheaper the licenses get for everyone. Billing for licenses will be done in November of each year. The charge for licenses obtained mid-year will be pro-rated based on when the license was requested and charged for the next year of usage.

There are two types of licenses available through our contract: 

  1. Lab licenses: intended for use in student classrooms or student computer labs. 1 license may be deployed on 3 computers. This license is deployed using a serialized version of the software.
  2. Individual licenses: intended to be used by one person on up to two devices.

To order new licenses, please go to SHI

For new users:

  1. Click on Register
  2. Select Yes, you have a token and access key
  3. Token: 64369
  4. Access Key: Washington_Adobe_switch
  5. Follow the on-screen prompts
  6. Once you are set up, you can place an order. This order will be routed to your Area Technology Officer (ATO) who will deploy the license(s).

For returning users (or users who already have an SHI account):

  1. Click on Account Management
  2. Select Customer Access Code from the drop-down menu
  3. Enter Token: 64369
  4. Enter Access Key: Washington_Adobe_switch
  5. Click Apply
  6. Click My Account
  7. Click Tools & Reports
  8. Select Change Catalog
  9. Select the Washington State University - Adobe ETLA catalog
  10. Once you are set up, you can place an order. This order will be routed to your Area Technology Officer (ATO) who will deploy the license(s).

Deployment

If you are the license administrator for your area, you should direct your end users to place an order via SHI using the directions above (see General Information).

What happens after an order has been placed with SHI:

  1. You will receive an email from SHI asking you to approve the order. 
  2. Sign in to SHI to approve or deny the request. Please note that by approving the order you are agreeing that your area will be financially responsible for the license.
  3. Log into the Adobe dashboard (http://aedash.adobe.com)
  4. Deploy the license as defined below:
    1. Lab licenses will be deployed as serialized licenses. A lab under this contract is defined as a lab intended for use in student classrooms or student computer labs. 1 license may be deployed on 3 computers. This license is deployed using a serialized version of the software.
    2. Individual licenses will be deployed as named licenses.

Individual Licenses

  • For Users that have admin rights to their computer:
    • Log into the dashboard (https://aedash.adobe.com)
    • Click on the Users tab
    • Enter the user’s @WSU email address
    • In the drop-down box, select the appropriate Product and Area
    • Click Add
    • The User will receive an email with an invitation to access the Creative Cloud. Users can then download the desktop installer and install the apps they would like
  • For users without admin rights to their computers (note: these directions can also be used to build a customized configuration for named users):
    • Log into the dashboard (https://aedash.adobe.com)
    • Click on the Users tab
    • Enter the user’s @WSU email address
    • In the drop-down box, select the appropriate Product and Area
    • Click Add
    • Go to Deployment tab on the left-hand side
    • Select Creative Cloud from the left-hand side
    • At the bottom of the screen select the appropriate Creative Cloud Packager for your system
    • Follow the directions on the screens selecting Named User as the License Type
